| Compilatiealbum van The Clash uit 1988, 'The Story of the Clash, Vol. 1' verzamelt hun grootste hits en belangrijke singles uit hun piekperiode (1977–1982). De band mengt rauwe punk, reggae en politieke teksten met aanstekelijke melodieën; nummers als 'London Calling', 'Rock the Casbah' en 'Should I Stay or Should I Go' tonen hun invloedrijke, grensverleggende stijl. |
